The Government invests £320m per year directly into primary schools with the objective of achieving self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport. The average school receives approximately £18k across the academic year - West Chilt receives approximately £17,000.

Sadly this is the last year of PPSP funding.

We are thrilled to be able to offer all year groups from Y1-6 a dedicated block of swimming lessons in a pop-up pool on site each year.

The impact of these lessons was HUGE in school year 2025-26 with 97% of children moving up 1 level and 67% moving up 2 levels following their sessions.

Year 6 outcomes were our best ever in 2025-26 with 100% of children able to swim 25m or more.
