What is the Primary PE & Sport Premium?

The Government invests £320m per year directly into primary schools with the objective of achieving self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport. The average school receives approximately £18k across the academic year - West Chilt receives approximately £17,000.

This funding is called the Primary PE & Sport Premium (PPSP). Please click HERE to view our Sports Premium Report for 2022-2023

Our report for 2023-24 will appear at the end of the academic year.

The long term vision of the funding is that “all pupils leave primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport”.

Swimming

Every year we give one year group the opportunity to have a block of professionally coached swimming lessons in Storrington School's pool.
