Useful information

By law your child must start school in the term following their fifth birthday. In West Sussex children may start before this date i.e. in the September of the academic year in which their 5th birthday falls.

We have established a very effective induction program for new Reception children.

Once you have accepted your offer of a place at West Chiltington, the school office will contact you to arrange a home visit by the class teacher in the summer term before they are admitted. Parents will then be invited to attend an evening where they will meet the head teacher, class teacher and teaching assistant. Before the end of the summer term your child will be invited to spend several sessions at school to meet the other children and parents can enjoy a coffee and a chat with each other.

Information relating to a school place for your child can be found here

If your child is due to start Reception in September 2024, the deadline has closed but you can stilll apply via West Sussex Admission.

Secondary school places application have now closed.
