Friends Of the School Association (FOSA)
At FOSA's heart is a small committee of volunteers, supported by class representatives and other parents, school staff and members of the community. Anybody is welcome to join at any time.
The FOSA committee consists of the following posts, elected every year at the AGM:
Chair: Elizabeth Huckwell
Treasurer: Rebecca Lefcovitch-Davies
School Liason: Jemma Ainsworth
Secretary: Toni Nubbert
Committee: Amanda Lefcovitch-Davies, Susie Steele, Jess Hall, Pippa Paradie, Emma Conway, Alice Tyler & Millie Allingham.
We pride ourselves in having a very active and dedicated parent-led fundraising group. It is your ideas, support and skills that continue to underpin our success.
FOSA organises events to raise money for the school to enhance the education and experiences of our children, by enabling the provision of facilities and activities that would not otherwise be possible.
The money we have raised in recent years has helped towards various projects that may not have been possible without your support, these include the outside play equipment and outdoor classroom.
2025/26 Plan
In 2025/26, working closely with the school, we would like to be able to help raise funds for a range of enhanced extracurricular activities for all of the children in the school. How much we can achieve will be dependent on how much we are able to raise but events / activities paid for by FOSA may include, but will not be limited to:
- whole school special events such as drama days, skipping days, coding days, visiting authors, athlete visits, STEM events
- funding for whole school equipment such as the Trim Trail and The Daily Mile track
- upgrades to technology across school
- enhancing the library
We hope you will agree that all the above will add value to the school lives of our children and without FOSA and the support you are able to provide these would not be possible, so thank you!
Full details of these events will be communicated in the Newsletter and via class reps.
All activities run by FOSA are hugely dependent on the support and involvement of all our parent helpers who are able to provide support at specific events or help with odd jobs throughout the year. Please do get in touch if you can offer any help toward planning and/or running these events so we can keep you updated on how you could help if you have the time.
FOSA meetings are held regularly and these are open to everyone, so please do come along.
If you have any questions, have any other fund-raising ideas or would like to get involved in FOSA, please email westchiltingtonfosa@gmail.com as we would love to hear from you.
