Every year we talk with the children about good causes and they decide which ones they’d like to lend their support to. Their experience of raising money to “Bring Brendah over” was an important turning point because they saw at first hand that they could make a difference in a big way. This term, they have become particularly concerned about environmental matters- particularly plastics in the ocean. On this page, they will be sharing with you the practical steps that they are taking to reduce and manage plastic waste at school. A recurring theme has also been gender equality. Children as young as 6 have been asking questions about the way in which adults sometimes treat girls and boys differently. Turquoise class are taking this area of work on as their own special project and again- we’ll be sharing their thoughts here.
